How to make Cazimi Spa's Ayurvedic Golden Milk (the proper Ayurvedic way)

 

Firstly, make a paste from the powder. 

-    Add roughly 2 tablespoons of the Golden Milk powder to a saucepan on medium heat and then add about 1 tablespoon untoasted Sesame or Coconut oil.

-    Stir and add a tiny bit of filtered water till it’s a creamy paste texture. Whisk

-    Cook for a few seconds until it’s blended. This is like 'blooming' spices in cooking. This won’t take long, about 30 - 60 seconds. Keep whisking the mixture and stop when the mixture seizes. It will become stiff. 

-    Transfer to container and place in refrigerator. 

 

Make the drink.

-    Measure out your milk or mylk in the vessel you will use, pour into a saucepan.  (Or add a tablespoon or more to soups, stews and curries).

-    Add a 1/4, a 1/2 teaspoon to 1 teaspoon of paste depending on size of vessel. Whisk together while heating on low heat. Drink should not be grainy or gritty and well integrated. You will find your dose. 

-    Heat till hot and add a little honey or agave to taste.

-    Enjoy at nighttime, it has natural sedating properties. 

Contraindicated for pregnant women, people with diabetes, anemics, or those with bleeding disorders. Ask you doctor before using if you have any concerns or conditions. 

Not used to cure or treat any diseases. Seek medical attention from a licensed physician.
